President

Iris Ganyushin

Hi everyone! I’m Iris and I’m in my second year studying Biochemistry at The Queen's College. I’m honoured to be President of Oxford Women in Business for Trinity Term 2024!

OxWIB Presidet, Iris Ganyushin

President's Welcome

OxWIB was founded in 2008 with the mission of inspiring the next generation of leaders and breaking stereotypes in the world of business. Since then, OxWIB has grown immensely with a now 45-strong committee and over 4000 members across the University of Oxford.

With a strong foundation in accessibility and inclusion, OxWIB membership is completely free. We believe that all women* deserve the same opportunities as their male counterparts when it comes to careers and strive to be part of this positive change.

We aim to incorporate a diverse range of careers into the events that we host to showcase the huge range of possibilities open to members after graduating. This term we will be taking a closer look at The F1 Academy, transformation in business and how to build the technical skills needed for a career in finance. In addition to this we will be working on demystifying OxWIB to continue to make the society as accessible and transparent as possible.

We aim to equip young, career-focused women* at Oxford with the skills and knowledge they need to enter the workplace and achieve their ambitions. From learning about networking to writing the dreaded CV, we will be making the most of Trinity term to prepare students for traditional and nontraditional internship and graduate opportunities.

Along with providing actionable insights and advice to our members we are more than anything a community. Our termly President’s Ball has become one of the biggest events of the term among Oxford undergraduates. I am also proud to say that we will be launching a range of new initiatives next term to continue building and strengthening the connections in our community.

The people really do make this society what it is so I’d like to thank my committee for this term for making our fantastic termcard possible! I wish you a successful term and am looking forward to meeting you at our events!
