President's Welcome

Hi everyone!

I'm Maddie, a second-year Economics & Management student at Pembroke College and OxWIB President for Trinity 2026.

 

As for so many of our members, OxWIB has become a cornerstone of my uni experience; from the friends I have made to the events I have attended, so many of my happiest Oxford memories over the last year have centred around this society. As such, I could not be more excited for the term ahead, which brings with it a fantastic array of events and the chance to continue building on the legacy of our alumnae.

This term's committee has worked tirelessly over the vac to produce a termcard that spotlights some truly inspirational women and offers something for everyone - whether that be our 'Female Founders Panel', 'Demystifying OxWIB Picnic' or any of the 14 other events we have planned for this term. We are particularly looking forward to collaborating with a wide range of societies this Trinity, including OxWIF, OxWEST and OFS, and to be continuing our support of One-Eighty (a local mental health and behaviour support charity working to empower young people to improve their mental health and re-engage with education).
