Meet the speakers
Richard A. Fernand, CFA
Mr. Fernand is a vice president for learning and development in the London office. He is responsible for learning and development across EMEA and leading the EMEA recruitment team. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2013, Mr. Fernand was a director at the CFA Institute and head of the business school at 7city (now Fitch) Learning. He has extensive experience in leading investment and trading training programs, including over 10 years of teaching in the CFA program. He holds a law degree from Oxford University and is a chartered accountant.
Madalina-Anda Corneanu
Ms. Corneanu is a portfolio associate in the London office. Previously, she was an associate on the account management team. She joined PIMCO in 2016. She holds a master’s degree in international finance from HEC Paris, as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Amsterdam.
Sophie Florentin-Siu, CFA
Ms. Florentin-Siu is a vice president on the EMEA global wealth management team in the London office, responsible for institutional client relationships. She was most recently covering UK and Benelux institutional client relationships. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, she was a credit derivatives analyst at ECM, a European asset management subsidiary of Wells Fargo Asset Management. She has 10 years of investment and financial services experience and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham.
Cristina Nunziata, CFA
Ms. Nunziata is a senior vice president and head of the client management operations team in EMEA. She was previously an account manager with a focus on institutional client servicing in the London office and served as head of client services in the Nordics and head of Israel. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2007, she worked in the debt capital markets department of Mediobanca, Italy, for eight years. She has 19 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from Bocconi University. Ms. Nunziata also holds a master's degree in finance from the London Business School.
Laura Kelly
Ms. Kelly is an account associate in the London office, focusing on UK and Irish institutional client relationships. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2016, she completed a relationship management internship at Wellington Management Company in Boston. She holds a dual bachelor's degree in international business and finance from Dublin City University and Northeastern University, Boston. She is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
Fiona Furlong
Ms. Furlong is a senior associate in the product strategy group, focusing on multi-sector fixed income strategies. Previously at PIMCO, she was an account associate covering UK and Irish institutional client relationships. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2014, Ms. Furlong completed a relationship management internship at Goldman Sachs. She holds a dual bachelor's degree from Dublin City University and Northeastern University in international business and finance. She is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
The session will feature a presentation from PIMCO employees on asset management and the firm itself, as well as an opportunity to network over drinks and nibbles.
