About the Event
Come along to learn about how diverse a career in sustainability can be. We will be hearing from Leila Swan, a Legal and Policy advisor with Climate Law and Policy who is interested in the intersection between international development, human rights and climate change. Emily Kerr, a Oxford Green Party Councillor and founder of Share Our Cars, a national campaign encouraging people to ‘borrow, not buy’ new cars. Léane de Laigue, the Communications Lead at Climate Outreach which is a climate charity working to build a social mandate for climate change, and finally Rhian Sherrington, a best selling author, coach and founder of Women in Sustainability.
OxWIB is continuously trying to find ways to expand and improve both our society, and the way we interpret business industries. As such, OxWIB is dedicating Michaelmas 2022 to providing our members with more sustainably-oriented events, as well as reviewing our own practices, from the food we provide at our events to the sponsors we work with. This will be our first event aiming to start off this goal, so please join us for a new era of OxWIB: The New World.
