Welcome to Oxford Women in Business!
I hope you've had a wonderful summer, and, especially for the freshers, that you're excited for the year ahead! The OxWIB committee has put together our busiest ever termcard to help you begin to explore and thrive in the world of business.
Be inspired by Emily Wilson, editor of New Scientist magazine, or come along to one of our panel discussions. Top it all off with networking opportunities from firms across a range of industries, a CV clinic and a coding workshop, and you’ll be set to pursue your dream career!
In addition, we are delighted to announce two new initiatives. Pick up a copy of our magazine, Insight, discussing all things business, or pop in to one of our weekly Wednesday drop-in sessions, where we’ll be chatting about everything from Women in the News to internship applications, all over coffee and cake.
This is also a special term for OxWIB, as we mark the 10th Anniversary since our foundation in October 2008. Celebrations begin with an unmissable anniversary edition of our President’s Drinks at the Town Hall, and we’ll then be looking back on the past ten years during our ‘Women in the Boardroom’ panel discussion.
Our events continue to be free and open to all Oxford students; OxWIB thrives as a hub for ambitious, talented young women, and I hope that you will enjoy meeting each other just as much as hearing from our speakers.
I am delighted to present to you our 10th Anniversary Termcard. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with this committee, and I hope you see their dedication, and that of all our previous committees, shine through in the pages that follow.
We look forward to welcoming you this term!
